Get off the Sanyo Shinkansen at Mihara , catch a ferry to Sagi Shima Island peak of the island ,use the chain and rope ladders to get there , explore the orange groves.

Shinkansen to Akita , eat sashimi , explore the sake and miso factory at Kodama Brewery

Drive to Tottori , (may be look at the sandunes) , go along the coast to Kamogaiso and take the coastal walk . Have a drink at B A R Silence

In Winter from namba Osaka take the Nankai Koya Line to Gokurakubashi Station , then the cable car to Mount Koya and the bus to Koyasan , stay at the Koyasan Guest House , eat home made curry by the fireplace, catch up with other travellers , wander through the cemetery , visit a temple .

Stay in Utsunomiya and explore Oya History Museum Eat karage at Wake Butcher Shop Utsunomiya ,find pottery at Mashiko , send it home , catch the local train to Mooka , walk the canals in spring ,

Try and find hakujitu_ in Tokyo , somewhere in an old dentists building in Yanagibashi

Catch the train to the Northernmost staion in Tokyo Minami-Machida-Grandberry-Park Station on the Tokyu Denentoshi Line , see the Snoopy Museum

Visit Kochi on Shikoku , a worthwhile train trip, in December , Kochi catle is open at night ,food markets, music and more at night, , street markets on Saturday morning and trams .

Go to an Onsen town and have an onsen at a public bath [tattoos in public bath may be not welcome or banned but in hotels and private onsens they are generaly accepted ] or get you own private onsen at your hotel

Catch a Japanese movie at Kobe Port OS cinemas ,

Get off the shinkansen and spend the night in a random town like Hamamatsu or Toyohashi , catch the local train to Gamagōri Station and go to Takeshima Island at sunset

Stay in Takamatsu , hire a bike at Takamtsu Station Bike Hire , eat the best udon in Shikoku, at Hariya , see strange buildings , ride around the city , eat italian .

Stay at an Onsen Town, where a Yakata and sandals ,roam the streeets , find a games arcade and play the drums, try Nishimuraya Honkan at Kinosaki
